This website provides general information about Dental Sleep Medicine of Charlotte and the conditions it treats. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for evaluation by a qualified clinician. Reading it, calling the office, or emailing does not create a doctor-patient relationship; that begins when you are seen and accepted as a patient. What the clinical pages describe
Descriptions of obstructive sleep apnea, oral appliance therapy, TMJ dysfunction, and EMFACE on this site describe what these treatments are generally for and what is generally known about them. They are not a prediction about you. Whether any treatment is appropriate depends on a diagnosis, an examination, and your medical history.
No guarantee of outcome
Every patient is different. Nothing on this site promises a particular result, a particular reduction in apnea events, or resolution of any symptom.
Patient stories
The videos on Patient Experiences are accounts from individual patients, published with their permission. They describe those individuals' experiences and are not representative claims about outcomes.
Device and regulatory language
Where a device is described as FDA-cleared, that is the accurate regulatory term and it is not the same as FDA approval. Cleared indications are stated as they are cleared, and nothing on this site claims a use beyond them.
Intellectual property
The content, design, photography, and video on this site are owned by Dental Sleep Medicine of Charlotte or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without written consent.
Third-party links
This site links to third-party sites and embeds a Google map for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dental Sleep Medicine of Charlotte is not liable for damages arising from your use of this website, which is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Attorney to confirm scope and any consumer-law carve-outs before publication.
